Ask the meat manager at your grocery store: The best way to know exactly what you’re buying is to ask the on-duty meat manager or look for the Verified Canadian Pork label.
Shop at an independent butcher: There are independent butchers and specialty meat shops in many city neighbourhoods and small towns within Alberta.
Buy directly from the producer: Some pork producers in Alberta sell directly from the farm gate. You might have to travel out of the city to purchase your pork, however, some farms may deliver to your door.
