Swine and Dine at Say Uncle – July 16, 2019

We are excited to announce that chefs Trevor Moan and Chef Andrew Cowan of Say Uncle are hosting the next Alberta Pork Swine and Dine dinner. Say Uncle, which recently opened downtown Edmonton on 104 street, is the love child of the owners of Northern Chicken and Sandwich & Sons.
FIVE COURSES FOR $50 – INCLUDING TAX AND GRATUITY
The dinner is scheduled for Tuesday July 16 at 6:30 pm and seating is limited to 30. Considering how great the price is, and once you see how salivary that menu sounds, we know this event is likely to sell out. So, if demand for Say Uncle’s first Swine and Dine is great enough, chefs Cowan and Moan said they will open up the Wednesday July 17 and run the same menu on back to back nights.
To reserve call 780.540.5369 or email acowan@sayuncle.ca.

Taste Alberta Pork all weekend at Porkapalooza 2016

Diva QPorkapalooza is back! This year, Edmonton’s meatiest BBQ festival takes over Clarke Park, next to Commonwealth Stadium, June 17 – 19, 2016.

Generously supported by Alberta Pork, the event features a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned BBQ competition, food trucks serving BBQ pork, chicken and beef, food demonstration stages, a kids zone and beer gardens. If you have a passion for pork, you won’t want to miss this event.

This year’s festival includes a free three-day concert in support of the Fort McMurray Fire Relief fund featuring a great lineup of bands including The Sheepdogs, Gord Bamford, and Loverboy. The concerts are free; however, members of Rotary District 5370 will be on hand collecting donations in support of our neighbours to the north.

Stop by the BBQ competitors area to learn about the Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned BBQ competition, then follow your nose towards an array of food trucks and vendors including Atilla the Hungry, Bully Food Truck, Gourmet Sausage Company, Memphis Blues BBQ House, Molly’s Eats, Sandwich & Sons, Smokehouse BBQ, where you can enjoy all thinks BBQ.

Don’t forget to stop by the food demo stage to learn how to make the perfect pork burger with Brian Misko from House of Q, Asian inspired sesame pork loin skewers with Diva Q, or how to break down a pig. See here for a full event schedule.
