Swine and Dine at The RiverHouse – Tuesday May 21 @ 6 pm
Swine and Dine is back and for the month of May we are heading out to St. Albert four a four-courses swinefest by Chef Steven Brochu at to The River House.
Having grown up in St. Albert I was eager to extend Swine & Dine past the Edmonton city limits and into the suburbs. Chef Brochu has a Passion for Pork and was eager create a pork-inspired set menu for my Swine and Dine dinner series.
Originally from Edmonton, Chef Brochu did his culinary training at NAIT before heading to west where he worked in Vancouver at Joe Fortes Seafood & Chophouse, MARKET – a Jean-Georges restaurant at the Shangri-La hotel, and a fishing lodge on Langara in the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Now in charge of the kitchen at The River House, Chef Brochu is committed to using local ingredients (including pork from Sangudo Meats) and making everything from ravioli to ice cream in house.
On Tuesday May 21 I will be hosting Swine & Dine – At The River House. Chef Brochu and his Sous Chef Tony Krause have created a four-course Alberta Pork inspired menu for $60. Doors open at 5:30 pm (where their Pacific Wine Rep will have samples) and dinner will start at 6 pm.
