½ cup (125 mL) maple syrup
1 cup (250 mL) red wine
½ cup (125 mL) dried figs
½ cup (125 mL) broth
Bring ingredients just to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and when sauce is cool, puree with hand blender or in a blender.
Use as marinade or sauce topping for your next serving of pork ribs, tenderloin or chops.
