Pig Flew over the Moonshine Cranberry Sauce

Pig Flew over the Moonshine Cranberry Sauce

We teamed up with Hansen Distillery to bring you this unique dish for the holidays.

This is a very unique cranberry sauce that isn't for the kids! The moonshine in this cranberry sauce really brings out the flavour in a good slice of tenderloin or a chop. We loved smothering it all over our Ring of Fire tenderloin at the Alberta Pork office party!

Ingredients

4 cups of sugar

4 cups of Hansen's Mulled Cranberry Moonshine

Zest and juice of 2 oranges

9 cups of cranberries.

Preparation

Mix the sugar, moonshine, orange zest and juice. Bring to a boil then simmer on low rolling boil for 5 mins. Add cranberries. Let boil for 15 mins stirring occasionally. Use a potato masher to mash up the berries a bit. Let cool. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks or can them and keep it and keep it longer.

Oh, and have a moonshine shot while you're at it! Happy Holidays!
