4 boneless pork loin steaks or chops, ¾" (2 cm) thick
1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground black pepper
1/4 tsp (1 mL) cayenne pepper
1 tsp (5 mL) onion powder
2 tsp (10 mL) paprika
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
1/2 tsp (2 mL) fennel seeds, chopped (optional)
Combine spices and sprinkle onto pork steaks. Grill over medium heat for 3 - 4 minutes per side and serve immediately.
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness without overcooking: cook to an internal temperature of 155 - 160°F (68 - 71°C).
