PorkFest Launching at Save-On Foods in Edmonton this May-Long Weekend

It’s time to BBQ and Save-On Foods and Alberta Pork are teaming up to help consumers buy local Alberta pork through their Western Family packaged meats.

Whether its pork chops, ribs, or kebabs, you can head to the meat counter at Save-On Foods for a great selection of local pork that is perfect to help you kick off the grilling season.

Local chefs and meat specialists with a Passion for Pork will be on hand to help Save-On Foods shoppers with seasoning tips, grilling tricks, and advice on how best to cook pork on the grill. This weekend you’ll be able to taste locally produced pork chops served up with Honey Bunny’s, another great Alberta product, Amazing Dad’s BBQ Sauces.

This Passion for Pork promotion will run throughout May and June with in-store tastings every Saturday and Sunday at 10 Save-On Food stores throughout the city. All 18 stores will feature a different weekly local Albertapork product.
