Passion for Pork Restaurant Week Recap

Vancouver - Sunday, September 23, 2012

So much pork, so little time! We hope you had a great time during Restaurant Week in Whistler, Vancouver and Edmonton and we’ve got more fun just around the corner in Calgary during the week of October 15th to 21st. We’ll have more details as we get closer. If you’re in Vancouver, Memphis Blues will have their Restaurant Week menu available til the end of September so if you missed it, you still have a little time left!

With Restaurant Week wrapping up, I thought we could go around the internet and showcase some of the experience some of you had at our various participating eateries.

In Vancouver, Joseph Mallozzi went all out at Campagnolo where his party of four demolished several platters of salami along with Chef Ted Anderson’s Pork Trio on Sweet Corn Polenta.

Phil Wilson, or Baconhound, paid visits to Cafe De Ville and Niche in Edmonton. That pizza looks mouthwatering, Phil.

Ashley Viens at VancityBuzz went for the three course Passion for Pork menu at Cache Bistro and Lounge in Vancouver. Nothing like a big braised pork hock and live jazz!

Valerie from A Canadian Foodie stopped by The Manor Bistro in Edmonton a few days early and convinced Chef Alex Sneazwell to cook his Passion for Pork menu ahead of time. That’s cheating! We’ll let it slide this time but I’m watching you, Valerie!

And it isn’t just food bloggers getting into Passion for Pork week…style blogger Kait of Light A Candle went and got all dressed up for her “new favorite culinary event of the year”.

That’s just some of the blog posts about Restaurant Week so far! Maybe we’ll see some more over the next couple weeks from speed-impaired food bloggers like me.

If you missed Restaurant Week this time around, don’t worry, we’ll have more fantastic events and giveaways for you soon and don’t forget to check out our participating restaurants in Calgary October 15th to 21st!
