Alright E-town… are you ready for pork in epic proportions? September 10th – 16th, some ofEdmonton’s more exciting chefs are ready to introduce you to their unique swine creations. It’s time to celebrate local Alberta Pork and the farmers who help fill our bellies with bacon – it’s time to showcase how wonderful the pig really is.


First of all… what is pork week?


Purpose of ‘Passion for Pork Restaurant Week – Supporting Local’

  1. To inform and direct local diners to quality restaurants who share a passion for cooking and serving local pork
  2. To demonstrate pork’s versatility by encouraging local chefs to get creative with a variety of cuts from appetizers to main dishes to dessert.
  3. Showcase some of our localAlbertapork producers and identify for diners which restaurants inAlbertaserve their local pork
  4. To create a weeklong event that celebrates pork and offers pork lovers and diners an opportunity to enjoy tasty and unique pork dishes throughout the week and beyond

Taste Albertais also highlighting pork on Wednesday September 12th at a pop up at the Journal. for ticket information.
