Christmas in November and Passion For Pork
It’s too early to be thinking about the holidays, right? Wrong! I don’t know about you, but as soon as Halloween is over and done with, I get that good ol’ Mariah Carey Christmas album back on my iTunes playlist and crank it.
Alright, maybe not quite, but in just under a couple of weeks, the 26th annual Christmas in November will be taking place in Jasper, Alberta. The whole event, which runs in three separate parts over the course of 9 days is all about getting inspired for the holiday season, whether that be decorating, hosting a party and last, but not least, cooking some delicious food.
Last year, Passion For Pork signed on as a sponsor of the event, bringing some great Albertan chefs to the mountain town to do some cooking demonstrations with Alberta Pork, as well as serving up a big pork crown roast for the big gala dinners (see picture above!).
For 2014, we’ve got some exciting surprises on the way for the festivities including a grand kick-off on the first day of Christmas in November, but we’re also excited to announce that Anna and Michael Olson will be showing attendees how to make some amazing (and simple!) dishes using Alberta Pork. With years of experience in the kitchen, not to mention a few television shows and best-selling cookbooks too, I know that the room is going to be packed for this duo each time their demonstrations begin.
If that’s not enough, there will be other well-known culinary personalities cooking and interacting with everyone at the Jasper Park Lodge including Lynn Crawford, Bob Blumer and Top Chef Canada winner Dale Mackay and a lot more.
