Bacon Day Dinner at Workshop Eatery in Edmonton Nov 7, 2015
Alright, we know that International Bacon Day is over the Labour Day weekend, but isn’t celebrating it better late than never?
For the past five years Chef Paul Shufelt and his team at Century Hospitality hosted an annual baconfest dinner at Lux Restaurant & Bar in Edmonton. This year, Chef Shufelt was busy trying to open up his new solo project – Workshop Eatery, so the bacon day dinner had to wait.
But wait no more! On Saturday November 7th at 6 p.m. and Chef Paul Shufelt is hoping to fill your belly with all things bacon. The event will also be your first chance at checking out the new restaurant in south Edmonton.
Proceeds from the evening will go to support Youth Empowerment Support Services, a local charity helping our Edmonton’s youth at their time of greatest need; Chef Shufelt’s fundraising goal is $10,000.
There will be food and drink stations, tray passed appetizers, and the annual bacon dessert-off between Chef Shufelt and Chef Andrew Cowan. (Chef Shufelt is down 3-2 in the voter decided bake-off, so expect him to come out in full force for this year’s dessert challenge).
If you love bacon do you do not want to miss this event. Tickets are selling fast so don’t delay – they are available on eventbrite.
