Do you enjoy a side of music or comedy with your bacon? Then you won’t want to miss BaconFest YEG at St. Basil’s Cultural Centre in Edmonton on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Over this Labour Day Weekend, you can celebrate and savour all things bacon – from sweet Bernard Callebaut Chocolate Covered Bacon to savoury Bacon & Cheddar Green Onion Cakes.
Tickets are on sale now ($15 for adults , Seniors (65+) $13, Youth (7-13) $5, in advance through Eventbrite or St. Basil’s Cultural Centre), or $20 for adults at the door. Children age six and under are free. Food Tickets for purchase available at event.

The bacon has been generously sponsored by Olymel, whose slaughtering, cutting and boning plant in Red Deer, Alberta, is one of the largest and most modern facilities of its kind in Canada. New to this year’s event, patrons can enjoy complimentary Olymel bacon flavoured samples in the Sow Belly Lounge. - 12 restaurants will be serving up a variety of bacon dishes
This year’s BaconFest YEG features 12 Edmonton restaurants/food truck/market sellers: - Bacon with a side of toe tapping
Get your dancing shoes shined up with a dab of bacon grease. This year’s BaconFest YEG will feature music with Johnny Cash tribute band – Four Dollar Bill, featuring members of the CCMA award-winning Hey Romeo. - Along with the bacon, sample Edmonton’s latest brews
It is important to re-hydrate after eating loads of salty bacon. This year, patrons can kick back in the Sow Belly Lounge and even try complimentary craft beer and liquor samples through Sherbrooke Liquor. - An evening of bacon-inspired entertainment!
Take a spin at the wheel of bacon trivia games or bust your gut watching bacon-improv. Hosted by Donovan Workuk (Atomic Improv) and CTV Edmonton’s Graham Neil, you may just cry meat sweat tears of laughter.
